1Definition of objectives and scope of the project
Developed a new brand identity and packaging system for Real Creole Pralines, a specialty food product launched by Chef John Folse & Company. The objective was to communicate the product’s premium ingredients, authentic Louisiana Creole heritage, and traditional craftsmanship through a distinctive visual identity. My role included establishing the creative direction and designing food packaging and retail packaging that balanced historical storytelling with contemporary shelf appeal, reinforced product quality, and created a cohesive, recognizable brand presence in the specialty food market.
2Planning and Research
Collaborated with Chef John Folse & Company’s manufacturing division to understand production processes, packaging requirements, and operational constraints, ensuring the design could be efficiently integrated into manufacturing. Researched branding and retail placement considerations to establish a visual direction that communicated product quality and Louisiana Creole heritage while maximizing shelf visibility and brand recognition. Planned packaging elements and brand positioning to create a cohesive, recognizable product identity that would stand out in the retail environment.
3Project Management
Managed production coordination with food packaging manufacturers and printers to ensure packaging quality, accurate execution, and adherence to project deadlines. Negotiated print quantities and volume-based pricing to balance production costs with budget requirements and anticipated product demand. Oversaw production timelines, communicated specifications, and coordinated with vendors throughout the process to ensure the final packaging met quality standards and was delivered on schedule.
